I will dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
